How did / do you baby proof your fireplace?

Can you tell me what you use to baby proof your fireplace? DS is starting to pull up on everything and I need to deal with this problem ASAP.

We took a fire place screen thingy and unfolded it flat out, and then pushed our big ottoman in front of it. It's heavy enough DS can't move it. It's worked great!

We pushed a big ottoman/bench in front of it. It looked a little silly, but it kept him out of it!
