We don't have kids yet, but plan on TTC in 2012. DH and I already have a boy name and a girl name picked out. Since we don?t plan on telling anyone the names IRL, I thought I would run them by this board to see what other people think of them. As with every name, I?m sure there will be some who don?t care for them, but I?m curious to hear everyone?s opinions.
Girl: Magdalena (nickname: Lena)
This was my grandma?s name (she passed away when I was 15) and she was a very strong and wonderful woman. I would love for her name to live on. We are unsure about a MN, though. Any suggestions? Boy: Wesley Russell
There is no significance for this FN?it?s just one that DH and I both agreed on. The MN is very important to DH as it is his grandpa?s name and they are very close. So, what do you think? Good, bad or just meh?

What about Grace, Kate, or Claire as middle names?

I agree that a one syllable MN would sound the best. Claire is NMS, but Grace and Kate are nice. Thanks for the suggestions!
I figured Wesley would be one of those names that people either really like or find kind of blah, so I was expecting that.
I?m glad the majority likes Magdalena/Lena. I have never met anyone else with that name, so I was hoping it didn?t sound too old or outdated. Thank you for the reassurance

Wesley is okay, nothing wrong with it, just not something that excites me. I love the name Russell, though. I would vote for that as a first name.
