Do you think Tess alone is a suitable first name?

It's growing on me but still at times seems incomplete.

Theresa/Teresa is out of the question and we strongly dislike Tessa. Our last name is 3 syllables long making is difficult.

Are there any other longer versions of the name that could work or other names that it could be a NN for?

I think it could be a stand alone name. Just as long as your last name isn't Stickle. my HS bf's ln was that and he'd make jokes about naming our baby Tess... I wasn't amused. (He would say if it was a boy his name would be Ob, HS bf not the sharpest tool...a tool yes, just not sharp)
