Share your favorite holiday season places to visit / things to do with your kids

I'm looking for some things to do to make the season extra special for DD. Remember hearing about something where you could ride a train and see Santa. Not sure what else may be out there that I don't know about. I always find out about new things on this board.

Re: Share your favorite holiday season places to visit / things to do with your kids

  • We took M to see the lights at Life University in Marietta last year and we'll definitely go again this year.  It's a drive through deal and you pay by car, plus I think they have Santa there, and maybe a petting zoo (not sure, she was too young to be into any of that).  I also got tickets on groupon for the Botanical Garden Light display so we'll see if that's any good.

I'm doing a DIY advent calendar for M this year and each day will either have a little Christmas treat or a note with a special holiday activity we'll do that day (watch a christmas movie, go see the lights, bake cookies, pick out toys for tots, etc).  i know she's still young, but it's a tradition I really want to start for our family.
