4 month appointment (brag!)

LO weighs 11lbs9oz (2.5%ile) and is 24" long (18%ile I think...).  Doc isn't worried about him being small because he started off the appointment with "is he smiling yet...?" 

Well...he's been smiling for a long time, laughs, belly laughs, 'talks' socially and generally interacts with people well beyond what's "expected" at 4 months.  Doc was blown away (proud mama!)

Then we move to the physical milestones - this kid is STRONG and way ahead.  He sits, rolls to get where he wants to go, has 100% head control, and even army crawled (pulled with arms) to get to his toy on the exam table.  Doc says "obviously being small isn't holding this baby back!"

2 shots (and a some crying) later - we're out of there.

Follow up for weight/length check at 5 months just to track...

    Great job, little one! Our 4 m appointment went similarly, except that we will be getting the shots later. How many needles by the way? I hope not 3 again.

    2 shots @ 4 months - one in each leg.  Easier on him this time than the 2 months shots!  Little fussy last night, just more out of sorts than anything - but slept as usual and happy as a clam today
