    And this is why I take LO to the guest room to do night feeds if I am tired (I fall asleep and put him back in his crib when I wake up, then I go back to my own bed with DH). He is such a heavy sleeper that I could totally see that happening (except I also sleep with one arm around him so I would wake up anyway- but can never be too safe).

    I also do my bedsharing in a separate bed with only my baby. My DH is a big guy, so the mattress dips toward him and I know it's not safe.

    That is a sad story. Those poor parents will carry that guilt around forever.

    Ugh that breaks my heart because there are ways to bedshare safely. Poor parents, that poor little angel.

    It's my worst nightmare. I bedshare but I do it safely. Or at least try.

    I have nothing against bedsharing in general. I have a problem with stupid people bedsharing. That poor baby!

    This is so sad :(  We bedshare about 10% of the time but DD sleeps next to me. The rest of the time she is in her crib. DH is a heavy sleeper also. He says I sleep too light because I can hear and feel everything, I guess this is a good thing in this case.

    Tragic story :( I cannot fathom not waking up after rolling on your baby- wouldn't the lo cry? Wouldn't you feel the baby? I'm not a light sleeeper and still have difficulties wrapping my head around how this would happen.
