Trying to Get Pregnant

positive in test window but no control line...??I'm scared to retest

Had a miscarriage last month started on the 23rd lasted 3 days. So no symptoms but for some reason ended up on the bump today. Just took a clear blue easy test it came up faint+ in the test window but nothing in the control window. I was using these tests last month and kept coming up negative and nothing in the control window (4pack tests) too. I'm afraid to test again because of the possible false positive... what do you think? Want to call my husband but don't want to disappoint him either if it is negative.

Did this happen to anyone else??

  • First of all, sorry for your loss last month.

I hate to burst your bubble about your possible BFP, but if the control line didn't show, the test is not valid and therefore not a BFP. Take a new test and treat this one like you didn't even take it because the result doesn't matter.

  • So sorry for your loss. I had an early miscarriage last month as well. You will never know until you retest! GL

  • Yes, if the control is blank...buy a new test.  There really aren't false positives on a working test.

GL and sorry about your loss.

  • I'm sorry about your loss. I just wanted to ask if you had a negative test after your mc? It's possible for HCG to still be in your system if you mc less than a month ago. I had a mc last month too and I only got a fully negative test last week. Hopefully this is not the case and you get a nice BFP on another test.
