for the bad name choices some people make.
I was at Walmart, oops, the-Walmart, and DD was looking at toys and I looked at the CPKs and thought how awful the names were. One was 'Something Jordan' (can't remember the fn, but it was a popular one) another had Ryan as a mn (these were girl dolls). The boys' didn't have too awful names, just seemed like the girl ones.
So, who do they have naming these dolls? the cast of teen mom or 16 & pg?
I don't really remember the names of my CPKs, the names they came with, but I don't think they were so bad (maybe because I was 6 though and they were)
I changed my CPK dolls names to DeeDee, Daniel and Dana. And I have no clue why the first one I called DeeDee, its the only weird name I ever remember naming anything.
Re: I blame Cabbage Patch Kids...
The names are seriously crazy cakes....but I'd LOVE to have the job of naming CPK dolls.
I don't think I can remember them all now, I had five...but not all of them were horribly terrible, but still pretty bad.
Clover mn?
Kimball Benedict
Lucy mn?
Erma Katherine
Priscilla mn?
Oh, and they were ALL born on October 1st, lol.
I think they follow naming trends as a marketing strategy.
It is super annoying though - but I don't remember any of my CP doll names!

I grew up with one named Bridget
I assume it was her "given" name and not one my mom or I chose.
Pretty sure, though, that I named my other favorite doll: Kristen. Apparently to my 5-or-so-year-old self, that was a great name
ETA: My little brother's CPK doll was Sean. Sean Patrick? Anyway, my brother got him as a gift because he had the same "birthday."

My first CPK was named Faye Kate. My mom got it for me b/c her name is Kathy nn Kate and her sister's name is Faye. At one point in time, I thought about using FayeKate as a FN
This is too, too funny to me. My Dh's dream name for our son is Calvin Todd after his two favorite baseball players (Cal Ripken Jr. and Todd Helton). It's not that I might either name so much but I don't like the crazed baseball fanatic meaning behind it.
Haha, I never had a Cabbage Patch doll--I didn't know they came with names. As a kid, I named everything I had, so I don't think the doll's name would have stopped me.
The only doll name I can remember now is Atessa, probably inspired by my sister's name, Teresa.
Haha.. that is funny! It really doesn't sound too bad together.. I'm used to it. LOL
That doll was the coolest... his head still smells like baby powder and it is almost 30 years old!
My CPK's names were:
Lottie Anna
Iris Anne
I never had a CPK, but I clearly remember naming a couple of my barbies DeeDee and Dana. How funny! I thought those were cool, grown-up names
My husband and I are trying to conceive baby number 2 and we have the name Cordelia picked out if we have another girl. Elizabeth is my first little girls middle name, as well as mine, my mothers, and my cousins. It's an old family name. = D
I kept all the names they came with. Mine were:
Kathy Leah
Billie Theresa (a girl)
Bradley (?)
Cleo (?)
Cole Joseph 7/05/07
Nora Anne 11/03/12
