A little background: I just had my miscarriage (with the help from Cytotec) last Wednesday - So I am only like 10 days out. I went to my OGBYN Monday to get my HCG levels checked. They dropped to 2,000 in 6 days - where before the miscarriage they were at 23,000 and raising ever so very slowly.
However, my chart is a big hot mess. I was happy to see the temps were going down right after the miscarriage bc that meant that the HCG was getting out of my system. However, they are now raising again and I am scared the HCG is getting higher or not going down as fast as I would like (The faster it goes down - the faster I get AF - and the faster I can get trying) The temps that I am having now are more like my post OV temps before the miscarriage. They are almost a full degree away from where they should be. It is way too early for me to even OV. I just feel my temps are all over the place going up and down.
Is this normal - did this happen to anyone else? Did you body straighten itself out? Are these higher temps my new pre-ov temps?
I would recommend putting the thermometer down and just waiting this out until you get a period and "start over". Everything is going to be messed up right now and you will just make yourself crazy trying to make sense of it.

I think you are incorrect to equate higher temps with rising HCG. I also reccomend to not temp for this first month because your temps could be all over the place and you aren't ttc yet anyway. I understand being anxious though. I assume you will have a follow up appt. and your doctor will be able to make sure that your m/c is complete and you can talk about trying again. Good luck.

I'm so sorry for your loss. To give a different take than PP, I found temping after the m/c really helpful. I think it is normal for temps to be all over the place and I expected an annovulatory cycle. I was surprised, though, to find that I O'd 13 days after my loss. So your temps could be all over or they could follow a "normal" biphasic pattern if you do ovulate this cycle. You can really only know what's happening if you chart. T&P that your body sorts itself out quickly!
