It's not super high (over 200 = automatic diagnosis - no 3 hr). The cut-off to pass is now 130, I think. I have heard of plenty of people who tested in the 140s who pass the 3 hour, but probably just as many who have failed, so you are kind of in that limbo place where it is a flip of the coin. Good luck on the 3 hour! If you do end up with GD, head over to the high-risk board: lots of GD ladies share tips, food ideas, and Q&A there.

I just found out that I failed as well.. my number was 204 and my nurse said this was very high. They have me skipping the 3 hour test and going directly to a high risk OB for a diabetes consultation. She told me the normal number was 65-129. Your number is alot lower than mine so I hope the 3 hour test goes well for you.

I haven't had the GD test yet, but from what I've read, they make you retake it if it's over 130 or 140 (depending on the lab.) So it doesn't seem like yours is incredibly high, but it's definitely over the threshold for the test. Did you eat a lot of carbs/sugar in the hours before the test? That can sometimes skew the results a little.
My cutoff was 140 and I failed the 1 hour with a 149. I passed the 3 hour with flying colors. I asked the nurse practitioner if having my 1 hour the week of Halloween (aka eating way too much candy) could have played a part and she said it probably factored in.
The cut off normally is 130. With DD I flunked with a lovely 179, took the 3 hour and passed with no problems. With DS I got 100 and did not have to do the 3 hour. With this pregnancy I just found out I passed with a 109. Chances are, you will pass your three hour. Good luck!

For my 1 hour my number was 165ish, but for the 3 hour every blood draw was withing normal limits. It seems like the 1 hour test just isn't very accurate for a lot of people. And another thing, don't worry too much about the 3 hour test. I read a lot of horror stories about it and was pretty freaked out that I would puke and/or pass out, but it was a breeze. Just really boring! Make sure you bring lots of stuff to do! Good luck!
