Parenting after a Loss

s/o walking lo's

Like I said, M took a few steps for me and it was pretty cool. I wasn't going to tell DH, the whole "you didn't see it so it didn't happen" thing. Well I told him and he said, "Last week he did the same thing for me."

I am kinda glad DH didn't tell me he saw it way long ago. (Yes I said way long ago.) I would have been waiting and waiting for M to walk for me. But I don't mind now that he saw it first.

I am strange.

  • Congrats on the steps!

I guess I can't put a lot of thought into the firsts since I am at work so much. I would get sad.  I saw plenty of them when I was home on leave with her and H has gotten his fair share as well, as has my mom!

There are a lifetime of firsts....many of which I wouldn't want to be there for, like her first kiss and such.

It wouldn't have been a "sad" feeling, but more of a pressure on M cause he had already done it so just do it again already.

I get the pressure thing. I am a horrible mother, I can't remember Ian's first steps.

My life has a superb cast but I can't figure out the plot.
  • Not strange. The anxiety of waiting for it to happen again knowing that he already did it would have made me crazy.
