Nancy Grace is an idiot

So on her show she apparently was outraged that Shelby Dasher was only charged with 2nd degree murder and not 1st. It is to my understanding that 1st degree murder is death that was planned out and excuted, or cold blooded murder. 2nd degree is death that happened as a reactionary, or hot blooded murder.

While I find Shelby Dasher a disgusting human being for killing her child, I do not think she came home that night and thought, I am going to go beat my child until he dies. I think she was drunk and or hungover did not want to deal with a crying baby went in there to try to shush him. Became angry and reacted in a horrible and tragic way. Therefore the 2nd degree murder charge is accurate. I am not a legal person so please correct me if I am wrong about that.

Anyway so Nancy Grace gave out the STL county dispatch number and told people to call in outrage about the 2nd degree charge. This resulted in the lines  getting totally tied up and delaying reactions to real emergencies that were happening that night. She is so stupid and does not think about the consequences of her actions. What did she think she was solving by doing that.

    I never watched her so I guess saying as a whole she is an idiot it not fair but her actions yesterday were idiotic.

    I agree that Nancy Grace is an idiot and I don't watch her show because it seems that all she focuses on are the horrible tragedies that happen to children.  Every time I flip by on tv she is about missing or murdered babies and children.

    I agree OP! Completely ignorant with no disregard for the public safety of STL that was affected by her actions.

    I sheepishly admit that I somewhat like NG.  However, I must say i agree with your post that 1) she is wrong re: the 2nd vs. 1st degree and 2) she was a moron for encouraging people to call the dispatch line.  First off, it's not even the dispatchers who DECIDE the charges, it's the DA, and secondly, the whole delaying responses to real emergencies thing.

    i only watch her on talk soup. calling her an idiot is completely justified.
