So ready to START doing something again...

Last time I posted I was freaked out about an abnormal PAP. Had a Colpo done and they determined that everything was normal after all (whew!!). Went back to the doctor who suggested we do a hormone screening and S/A. I hopped on the testing....had me bloodwork done then and there...doc called and advised my Progestone levels are abnormal. DH not so anxious....took him a couple of weeks to give the sample....doc called to advise that there was no sperm. (Don't think I've ever been more bummed in my life) Doc said she wanted him to go see a urologist...haven't been yet. I know he's very upset and has expressed he thinks he just can't have kids. I understand how he feels but I'm holding on to hope....no one but God has the final say so. Just got a new job at a clinic and their insurance covers any visits in their network of clinics...not sure if it extends to IF but I sure hope so. I'm ready to seriously try again.....

    I would check into the fertility coverage asap - because sadly finances really can determin the future of what you'll be doing.  Also, I understand your DH's reaction - but he really should see a uro because there are some things they might be able to do.  Just remember to keep reminding him that you love HIM.  Men sometimes get depressed thinking they are not "men" if they can't reproduce.

    No sperm is actually sometimes a better diagnosis than some low quality sperm.  If the tubes are blocked and sperm can't get through, that can be fixed.  Good luck!
