RE: Target Britax Marathons

Posted on my mom's club board:

"I just called the customer service line for Target online (in hopes that they would be selling more at this price). I was told that they pulled the ad as it was an error. The representative informed me that they would not be honoring any of the sales from the people who purchased online already at the insanely discounted price. I hope for those of you who did get one that it goes through, but who knows!"

I hope it's not true!

    I have been on other boards (nest boards) and all kinds of people are calling and some say that the Target representative says it is a mistake and the price won't be honored and others say that the target representative said that the pattern is being discontinued and that is why the price is so low..that it is legit.

    Who knows!

    I am pretty sure that is against the law to NOT honor the price. it is considered false advertisement. In my retail days if an employee marked the wrong sweaters on sale then we had to honor the price.. then take the sign down. I am pretty sure if you got a confirmation they have to honor it.

    I believe that is true in-store but not online..in fact, I think there is a place where they list if there is a mistake in pricing that they can cancel the orders...I will try and find it.

    • If an item's correct price is lower than our stated price, we charge the lower amount and ship you the item.
    • If an item's correct price is higher than our stated price, we will, at our discretion, either contact you for instructions before shipping or cancel your order and notify you of such cancellation.

    Yea...I guess a lot of people called on it...some were told that it was legit and some were told that it was a mistake...so you guys will just have to wait it out and see.

    I know...if they make a mistake they should honor it, but that is why they put that statement in their terms and conditions...it covers their asses if their is a mistake.

    Is the camo one still listed?

    This reminds me of when j.crew mispriced their flip flops earlier this year. I hope they resolve it and honor all the orders.

    Ohhhhh!  I hope you all get them!  SO bummed that I missed out... but still wish you all the best!  Target has some awful policies, but they really should honor orders that they mistakenly mis-priced.

    I just called Target and she told me that all the orders are in the processed of being canceled and refunded.  There are a couple of other items that were marked down by mistake as well and those will also be canceled.  Sad

    A lot of the cow ones are shipping.  The granite ones are being cancelled.   Oh well.
