Parenting after a Loss

Lord help us...

DS has a new skill----climbing. I am so not prepared for that this early.

Any suggestions on what I can give him to practice on? Right now he's determined to climb on the fireplace and dogs if I don't give him an alternative.

I miss the age I could lay him on a blanket under the ceiling fan and he'd be content.

  • When DD started climbing, I would crawl behind her and let her go up the stairs. It's probably what started her obsession with the stairs though.<----Possibly bad suggestion.  Are your couch cushions firm? You could lay them on the floor for him to climb.

Scout- I NEED that slide. In fact, I need a whole playground set. Cool

That problem with that though is that I'd have to actually vacuum the stairs. Embarrassed

  • Is he pulling up to standing? DD loves her Leapfrog Activity Table.  I have two actually-one at MILs.  And FWIW I was able to get it used at a consignment sale for $15 and my mom bought the same one for about the same price also consignment.

  • I feel like maybe he's too young for standing?  But the table has legs that come off so he can sit and play w/ it and all over it.
