we had our 16 week scan yesterday and found that baby A has less fluid around it than baby B. the dr said that if they fluid stays the same then they will both be fine but if it gets worse they will have to do something to "fix" it. he said that one baby having less fluid around it this early means that it is more likely that they will develop TTTS. Right now they have bumped up the number of u/s i am having to once a week so they can keep a close eye on them and to be able to catch thing early..
I guess i just need to hear some POSITIVE stories.. im trying my best to stay calm and not stress but its hard.. TIA
Re: need encouraging advice/stories
Was fluid the only indicator of TTTS? Was there a growth discordance, bladder issues, or cord flow issues?
I was diagnosed with Stage I TTTS at 19 weeks. One baby had high fluid, the other baby had low fluid and there were cord blood flow issues. At 22 weeks both babies fluid levels went out of the ranges they want to see them. They did an amniotic reduction (basically an amniocentesis, but instead of removing just a little fluid, they removed a lot). It's the least invasive fix (the others being surgery), but it worked for us. I was monitored twice weekly for the duration of my pregnancy and delivered at 32 weeks.
