Trouble TTC

Good Lord What a Week

Here's a long ranting post for you if you're bored.

I had a nice relaxing four day weekend Fri-Mon where I got plenty done around the house and aced two papers I wrote in one day haha. Go me.

Tuesday morning rolls around and I wake up and can't event stand up straight. I have vertigo so bad I'm about to throw up. So after I finished putting on my uniform I had DH drive me to the ER (it was too late for my unit sick call) and we wait for THREE hours. They tell me what I know, its just extreme vertigo and give me a day of bedrest and some meds. Doc says he seriously doubts it'll go away in just one day so he tells me to go to my units sick call the next morning for another day of quarters.

Wednesday morning I wake up at 5am to go to sick call, and the doctor doesnt "believe" in giving quarters (bedrest) and gives me  a limited duty profile....I'm on a ton of Valium, Zofran, something else I cant spell, plus Clomid, Mucinex, and dermatology creams - and she wants me to go work a 12+ hour shift in a tent. BUT I can't drive on all these meds......so how am I supposed to get to work exactly? DH works, he cant be my chauffer.

Yesterday and Today I go to work and I'm high as crap, because will all these medications, I'm having to down 5hr energy drinks so I dont pass out! I'm literally seeing weird shapes on my computer. Also, since I was on night shifts last week, there is NO job for me on day shift. So why did I get switched exactly? Who knows. So I quite literally sit in a chair, or on the floor if an officer steals my seat, and zone out. Thats all I do for 12+ hours a day at work.

I did have my OBGYN appointment with a new doctor who gave me a referall to a RE!!!! Super excited! There are only two I can go to and both are two hours away but who cares. I'm really hoping I can push for IVF. I know chances are slim, but I'm hoping anyway. I did get checked and I dont have a yeast infection, but a different minor infection that can be taken care of in just a few days with some meds.

Tonight, I get home and Bank of America has overdrafted my account SIX times!!!!!! I switched to USAA banking a few weeks ago and cancelled ALL BoA bill pays but they decided to do one last payment from there anyway. And there was no more money in that particular account! I'm pissed. Also, under the SCRA I can't be charged late fees or overdraft fees so I'll be rasing some hell tomorrow.

So yeah....thats been my week. So far anyway. I need a drink!!!

Thank you for wasting 20 minutes of your life by reading this lol. I do appreciate it and hope you got a least a smirk from it.

  • Yikes!  I take it you are in the military from what you were saying.  That sucks that you were not able to take time off when you needed it.  And with that cocktail of meds I'm not surprised you are seeing things!  I hope you get some much needed rest soon!  Get off the computer & go sleep girl!  You need to take care of YOU!  ((HUGS)) hope it gets better real quick.

  • Are you prone to vertigo?  I had the same problem when I took Clomid - bouts of extreme vertigo to the point I couldn't even stand up, and vision changes.  FWIW, my RE switched me to Femara and I haven't had a single problem on it.

  • Thanks for the support ladies!

Today I seem to be doing better, but when trying to navigate through the tents for this field training I still look a little drunk lol. It just sucks because I'm normally in a leadership poisition, and on night shifts - but for some reason they switched me to days this week and there's literally nothing for me to do. I just sit there in my doped up stupor haha.

I've never had vertigo like this before! Its so crazy. I would lean my head back just a tiny bit and all of a sudden I'm falling on my butt haha. When I can get in to see my RE I'll ask about switching to Femara. Maybe it wont have the crazy angry-mood swing side effects haha. I'm sure my DH will appreciate it. I know he's already happy with our new doctor and finally getting some answers (or at least working towards them) with a RE.
