always walks around with sock in hand, anyone else?

as soon as we are putting his socks on, he yells and reaches out to grab one s we have to grap another pair of socks.  Is this his lovey?  Does this happen to anyone else?

    My DD would carry around bottles of sunscreen for a few weeks this summer. She has a lovey, but needed the bottle of sunscreen with her too! Lol! Glad she is over that! I bet your little guy is doing a similar thing!

    DS loves to pull his socks off (at daycare they said he is particularly difficult to keep in socks) and yes, he likes to walk around holding them. However, shoes are even better! He can't get them off his feet, but if he finds a pair of his shoes, they will be carried around and chewed on until we take them away from him. No idea what the appeal is! lol

    DS loves socks too! I fold his pairs into little balls and he loves to chew on them. He'll even go grab DH's socks out of the laundry (gross!).

    Yes! I actually have a basket of his unmatched socks that I try to match every time I do laundry because he is constantly carrying them everywhere and losing them around the house (or worse.. When we are out) And as far as the socks on his feet, we have to keep shoes on if we want the socks to stay on. The socks come off immediately after the shoes are off.

    DS always wants to wear one mitten. We've taken to calling him MJ.

    Ditto. DS shoves them into his fist and if I take any away he has a meltdown. He'll have 6 socks in his hand just happily walking around with them!!

    Oh Yeah!

    Socks have been my LO's lovey since she was about 6 months old. We have socks in pockets purses diaper bags cars. Both sets of parents have socks at their house. their is a pile in her cubby at school. We do not go anywhere without them. It is a major meltdown if she wants one and we do not have one. It is also incredible how much they soothe her.

    She will wake up and start yelling sock and looking all over for one. Find it and be back asleep in seconds.

    She use to take any sock but she is getting more picky now. She will pick one up rub it between her fingers and throw it down if she doesn't like it!
