XP: Question on breast size fluctuations while BFing

I just got fitted today for nursing bras as the few I had were getting tight, and I am a 34H Indifferent

I bought 2 Bravado bras which are great, but they're not cheap and I wasn't sure if my size will fluctuate significantly while BFing. I don't want to invest in a bunch in this size if it's possible I'll shrink back down again before we're done BFing. I don't know if it matters but at the time I got measured I had just fed her on both sides, so I was not engorged at all.

I think it depends on the person, but the first time around mine definitely were not the same size the entire time I breastfed. I think they calmed down and got smaller somewhere in the 6-9 month range. I think you have the right idea by only getting two for now.

Mine got bigger early on. I was fitted at about 5m pp and they've gone down. With weight loss and being less engorged because my supply is steady

I have weird boobs, so I don't know if I'm the best judge, but my boobs never changed in size during pregnancy, after birth, or even now, 6 month pp. they get a little rounder if she hasn't eaten in awhile, but not significant chane.

I only have two nursing bras in the initial size I was fitted for. They're stretchy enough if I get engorged so it's a non issue. they are the bravado ones as well. I SAH, if I left the house and wore a bra more, I might invest in a few more.

Mine deflated at 4 mos and again around 12 mos. I'm back to normal now.

By somewhere in the 2-3 month range, mine were pretty much back to normal. I think 2I is good for now - see you feel in a couple of months.

Thanks so much for the answers girls, this board rules. I got like 1 reply on the breastfeeding board yet here I get all kinds of help. Smile

I'm really relieved that for most of you the ginormous boobs went down at some point. I used to be a C cup before my first pregnancy so these big letters are alarming, but I am so not excited to see how deflated they'll look after going up and down so much.

I went from a C to an E. By 5-6 months my bewbs deflated significantly. I weaned last week and although I'm still waiting for the old girls to dry up I think I'll probably be back in a C again. DH is very disappointed.

eta- Have you looked into nursing tanks? I invested in a few of Target's Bravado line (super comfy BTW). They're been nice because they will work after you shrink down. I'm still wearing mine post-weaning.

Mine have definitely shrunk, but I've also lost a lot of weight. I'm not sure what would have happened if I hadn't tried to lose weight. I just noticed this week that they are really saggy too.
