How long are you supposed to wear the ab binder?

They gave me one in the hospital, but didn't tell me how long I should wear it. It does give me more support when standing up, sitting down, etc, but it makes my incision & the nasty bruises I have down there hurt even more. I've been taking it off after a few hours because it makes my pain worse. How long are you supposed to wear it for?

I wore mine for a day or two. They told me that it makes the gas worse and to take it off.

I had no issues with mine. They told me to wear it for a week, I ended up wearing mine for almost 3! Both times and will definitely be wearing it longer this time.

Never had one either time. My OB believes it's best to let your body heal naturally and for the muscles to strengthen on their own.

I wore mine the first night in the hospital! I found it to be so much more uncomfortable than not wearing one at all. I felt worse when I wore it. I tried it a few more times, but it just plain hurt.

I wore mine for almost 2 months. However, I had to have laproscopic surgery when 3 weeks PP so I was in a lot of pain. Also, I wore it a little longer since it helped my 3 year old understand that mommy had a big boo boo and that he had to be careful of mommy's bandaid.
