So I posted the other day about having high blood sugar and possibly being diabetic. Well I met with my primary care physician and she confirmed I am diabetic and need to begin insulin.
So my mission today was to call the Endocrinologist to get an appointment ASAP. I called several recommended by primary doctor they were either not taking new patients or the wait was weeks. I called several more and the same thing. This led to a hysterical call to my OB office that I need to get seen but no one will see me. The poor nurse, I was crying so hard I could not speak. They referred me to someone and I am meeting with the NP tomorrow. It was just so frustrating that I called so many offices and no one seemed understanding about the urgency of my situation. I understand that they are busy but I need this right now for the health of the baby.
So long story short: things are going in the right direction now but why does it have to be so hard. Ughh!!
