I finally started using our Moby Wrap today. I love it because it's so comfortable and allows my LO and I to be all snuggly. She seems to love it too. She slept for the majority of the day except, of course, for feedings and about 90 minutes or so of non-eating awake time... which brings me to my question...
Is it possible for LO to sleep too much? Should I limit the time she spends in the Moby? Please advise... TIA.
Re: Moby Wrap Question
At this age, they really can't sleep too much. If you try and keep them up or prevent sleep, you usually end up with a cranky, overtired baby. I say as long as she is happy in the Moby, go for it! Babywearing is great for baby!
Also, I have found the Moby to be great for grocery shopping! LO loves it and usually sleeps right through it.

I thought that the book said that you can introduce newborn hug hold at 8lbs. LO is actually smaller than that (on the low end of 7lbs) but the hold still seems to work. Are you sure you can't use newborn hug hold for your son?
Her issue is that her son is too big for the newborn hug hold, not too small. Right now we're still using the newborn hug hold because LBB still fits, but he's starting to get too big for it. I tried the regular hug hold this week, and I felt like he was still just a little too small for it - but that's probably our next move.
I'm no help; we're still using the newborn hug hold. I haven't tried the kangaroo hold yet but the Moby book says it can be used for babies 8 lbs and up so it might be worth trying.
