Aydyn's Birth story

Aydyn is our miracle baby.  I have unexplained infertility and with this pregnancy I had a iui. We conceived with our first treatment we found out we were pregnant when I was diagnosed with a dvt. I was on lovenox 150 mg  twice a day and later I went to once a day. I had the morning sickness and I also have a weakend cervix and at 14 weeks I had a scheduled cerclage which I was starting to dilate.  I also had pregnancy induced asthma in the second trimester and gestational diabetes in the third trimester  which was controlled by diet and 1/2 tabe of glyburide. Cerclage stitch came out in 38 weeks and I was scheduled for an induction on my dute October 17 2011. I went in that monday and my labor room had computer issues a pedi dr came to check on my baby to realize I was still pregnant and someone kept letting me know my child's uncle was downstairs and it was no relation to me! I started on meso then they my bag of water and inserted the cevical foley bulb(may not be correct term can't quite remember)  at this point 4 cm dialated pitocin was started and i started with nausea and chills and contractions on top of each other begged for epi and got it best sleep I had! the next morning I was still between 4 and 5 and kept upping my pitocin when my dr came later that afternoon to check on me she sat on my bed and the bed broke! down went the dr me and the bed. after I was transferred to another bed I was 6cm the next check I was 9cm then the never ending pushing. My dear son kept hitting my pelvic bone when I would push and then go back up they couldnt turn him around. He was in distress so they kept flipping me and trying different ways to have me push. I popped my iv  near the end while I was pushing and since I had a fever from being dehydrated the anthesioliogist (bad sp sorry) would try to put the iv in between contractions and since they were less than a minute apart he would have to keep pulling the needle out and retry once the contraction was over. on my last push my son came tumbling out the dr had to catch him and nicu was  there and he was limp so they had to rub him and give him iv so he could get antibiotics because i had a fever and check his sugar his first apgar score was 3 out of 8 then half hour later he was 8 out of 8.  Aydyn Joseph was 7 lbs 15 oz and 21 3/4 inches long. had him on tues home by thurs. I had a epistomy third degree tear and no hemmoroid problems till I got home. My dh and I have two angel babies jamie 06/28/06 bradan 02/23/10
