had an awesome appt, vbac looking good

went in today, just kind of hoping that all the contrax the past couple days meant something. Well internals began today (i've had them the last 2 appts due to contrax and all i get is long and thick and still closed). Today he said well, baby is already in the birth canal, you are very soft and about a fingertip. Vbac is looking good. Then he said "well, i give you 2 weeks tops with the baby's positioning, she feels like she is ready."

 

I know I could still have 3-4 weeks to go (i won't go past 39 weeks w/o an rcs), but the fact that the contrax have been coming more and more the past few days and my cervix is actually responding, i'm feeling pretty good. (baby is also measuring big which is why i'm so uncomfortable). So, I'm not looking to have this baby today or anything, but it sure felt good to hear that all this pain has had some purpose.

    Congrats!!! Glad you are making progress!!! Mine's still transverse, but I think they will be trying to induce (and with a c-section)-have an appointment with a specialist on Tues. I'm 34 w so she could still move, but having issues with my fluids dropping again :( .

    That's great news! I too, am hoping for a VBAC, and my cervix is responding to all of these contractions too, so that's wonderful! Hopefully we both will get what we desire, and our little girls will cooperate and allow us to have our VBACS! :)

    That's a shame you can't go past 39 weeks without a RCS, my OB has said I can go up to 41+3 weeks depending on how everything is looking.

    Fantastic that everything is looking so good for you though, I would be stoked with that. My last US at 34+1weeks DS was head down and 3 fifths engaged which is great. Now I just hope he stays in there to bake a bit longer. (DS was born at 35 weeks, breech so Emergency CS unfortunately)
