I think we're leaning more towards Puss in Boots because we've got some older cousins to consider and I think they'll like PIB more than Happy Feet.
(and let's face it - I think it'll have better adult humor as well)
I'll be stalking this post for reviews on Happy Feet now!
Our IF journey: 1 m/c, 1 IVF with only 3 eggs retrieved yielding Dylan and a lost twin, 1 shocker unmedicated BFP resulting in Jace, 3 more unmedicated pregnancies ending in more losses.
Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.
No. I heard that it's pretty intense, and I have an emotional kiddo that cried at the end of Puss and Boots when Humpty Dumpty goes kersplat. I've heard Happy Feet 2 is not at all like the first Happy Feet, i.e. not very funny or light.
We saw it this weekend with our 3-year old son. Music in it was great, but there were long stretches without music, and a lot of the movie had to have gone totally over his head. I wish they'd just make a cute movie about penguins that sing and dance without all of the socially responsible stuff in it. I wouldn't call it intense, though...just not as entertaining (on a preschool level) as it could have been. That said, DS sat through the whole thing and didn't freak out/fidget/fall asleep.
