internal check... now spotting

I had my second internal exam this week, and on my way back home I started spotting with some light cramping.  I've put a call in to the doctor, and am waiting for her to call me back.  Anyone else have this happen?  I'm sure it's normal with the internal exams, but still a little freaky to see blood.  I haven't spotted once since my last period in March!

    Spotting after internals is normal. They are prodding at your cervix after all.

    Unless it's period like bleeding (read: heavier), then it's nothing to be concerned about.

    Totally normal. You might even find that some of your MP is coming out with the spotting, so don't be alarmed.

    Your doctor should have informed you that this is not a cause for concern so you didn't get freaked out.

    I had one Monday and initially had bright red bleeding immediately after, and still have some light, brown spotting. Doc reassured me this can happen....
    TTC #1 since 6/08, MFI dx'd 3/09 Varicocelectomy 6/09, Hydrocelectomy 10/09 IVF with ICSI in Jan/Feb 2010 ER 2/7, ET 2/12 - transferred 2 blasts 5 snowbabies Beta #1 = 22 #2 = 19. Chemical Pregnancy :( FET May 2010 ET 5/30 - transferred 3 embies = BFN Fall/10 Went Gluten free + New RE and Clinic IUI #1 + Clomid 50 mg (1 follie) on 1/18 IUI #2 + Clomid 100 mg (1 follie) on 2/15 IUI# 3 + Femara 7.5 mg (1 follie) on 3/14 = BFP!!!!     This happened to me a few weeks ago.  The doctor warned me in advance and confirm that that was all.  She said if I saw just spotting again, not to worry.  If the bleeding was heavier, then to give them a call.

    Ditto PPs. My MW checked my cervix today after my GBS swab...she said if I spot today, it's totally normal (she said to call for bleeding that's heavy like a period). Hope you're ok!

    They might have stripped your membranes. I got checked 3 times and it only hurt the last time, and I spotted then too. However, I was already 5 cm dilated at that point, but I'm pretty sure my doctor stripped me to get things going down there.

    Unless it's like a period, I wouldn't be too worried about it.
