Re: Ideal Thanksgiving feast
Tofurkey with "fake" giblet gravy, homemade mashed potatoes, tons of cranberry sauce. Maybe some kind of stir-fried mixed veggies. Mmm...
ETA: Biscuits. And homemade apple pie.
If we're not cleaning, I'm assuming that calories don't count, either, right?
Switch out that turkey with ham. Add some sweet potatoes.

Oh, I forgot sweet corn on the cob, too. With lots of melty butter.
This gets my vote for my favorite...& least favorite...thread.
I want a feast!

We pretty much do my ideal holiday feasts...the only thing I'd change is having ham instead of turkey at Thanksgiving because I'm not a huge fan of turkey. We usually have mashed potatoes and gravy, potato casserole (insanely good), squash casserole, eggplant casserole, and broccoli rice casserole. Yes it's casserole-o-rama at our house! Then pumpkin pie and pecan pie and then I usually make iced cookies and chocolate cake for those (like me) who aren't pie fans!
This year I'm making appetizers too...pray for me. That means I'm making 4 different appetizers, 2 casseroles, cookies, and a cake.
I'm going with ALL of this but add in my MILs crab dressing and my mom's sweet potato casserole.
