I'm not much help I guess because the only thing that really got rid of the sciatica when pregnant with DS was..well.. DS coming out!
A warm bath seemed to help a little, and trying to stretch my hip/back. But yes, sciatica pain was the worst pain ever (aside from labour I suppose!) But it's different from labour because it's so constant and annoying day to day...Labour you get through because it's a definite amount of time and you have a sweet little person at the end!
Oh man have you had the agony of an escalator? Once with DS, I literally stumbled and almost fell down just stepping off a silly escalator. It was like an ice pick got shoved into my hip bone! O_O
Sleeping on the side opposite of the pain, with your legs bent, usually does the trick for me by morning. So, right side back, butt and leg I would sleep on my left side. HTH.

I just started having sciatic pain too. How insanely uncomfortable! Luckily it comes and goes rather quickly and isnt a constant thing.
Hopefully it comes and goes for me too! I don't know if I can handle this for ~4 more weeks.
I'll try some of your ladies' suggestions for sure. But I'm worried to take a bath because I might not be able to get out of the tub with my back feeling this way.
I wish I knew a relief method! I do however notice now that Liam has dropped its gotten worse, and after sleeping/laying down...when I get up that is when it is the worst! I literally just woke up from a nap and a warm bath sounds amazing right now!
I have had right side siatic nerve issues since week 9. Here's what works well for me:
-Weekly chiro. appt
-Yoga every morning
-stretching before getting out of bed and before going to bed
-lots of walking
-making sure I'm sitting up straight-if I'm not I notice more pain
I also tend to sit cross legged (like kids do on the floor), which takes the pressure off of sitting directly on my seatbones and gives me a lot less pain than if I sit with both feet on the floor.
Re: Relief for sciatic pain?
Things I've found that have helped:
-a warm bath
-stretching/yoga
-sitting on a balance ball as opposed to a regular desk chair
-making sure to get up and change positions frequently
-getting DH to give me a massage
Hope you find something that can help!

It's horrible isn't it?!
I've had issues since about week 20 (I have issues with my back anyways). My right leg goes numb daily.
Make sure you're careful on stairs!!!
The only things that help for me are warm baths and heated seats/heating pads. Not even the chiropractor did anything to relieve the pain.
