level 2 nipple? when to start

DS is doing pretty well with level 1 Dr. Brown's nipple at 2 months. Do I have to wait until 3 months to upgrade to level 2 or can I do it earlier?

    I would say try it and if formula runs out of DS's mouth and he chokes or spits up a lot afterwards then maybe wait a week and try again.

    How long is it taking for him to finish a bottle?

    Another thing to notice is if he is sucking hard and working hard at getting the milk out.....

    Try it and see. You'll know if it's too fast. We switched when it was taking DD forever (40min-1hr) to drink a 5oz bottle, she'd get bored and fall asleep, or get frustrated and scream. We switch with no problems and now she eats in 5-15 minutes!

    it takes him 25 minutes to finish 4 oz and I wonder if he is falling asleep because he is tired out.
