boogie wipes (grape scented)

I got a tub of them at a shower and some of my friends swear by them (as if they are boogie magnets!)...do you use them? Effective?

i use tissues or regular wipes if needed. honestly, i think theyre a total waste of money.

Well, I don't eat them - and DAMN...you just corrected that! :-)

I think they work great. I would buy them more except that I also seem to tear the exterior packaging of the to-go packets (like a corner rips off) and then they inevitably all dry out.

We got a small package when a friend of mine swore by them too...Cooper won't let me get anywhere near his nose with them. He hates the way they ::heh:: smell. And he's usually very good about letting me wipe his nose. In fact, he asks for Kleenex when he has a runny nose and will wipe his own nose. But not with Boogie Wipes. No way, no how.

I've used them, but only if DD has a really bad cold and I'm wiping constantly. They're really good for when they wake up with dried up gunk on their nose. It helps take it off more easily. For average nose wiping, just regular tissues.

I love them when the boogers really bad because their nose doesn't get raw with them and they work at getting the crusty boogers cleaned off but I don't like the grape ones. IMO the grapes ones stink bad. The green package is much better.

ditto the green package (haven't tried the grape ones, but I don't think I'd like them) and that they're good for dried snot, especially when they wake up in the morning. i don't use them for regular old nose-wipin', but they're great when you need a little moisture to help clean things up.

I think they're fine. Like others have said, they're handy when the kids have a particularly snotty cold.

ditto except we were gifted the grape ones. i think they smell awful. DS moves away too when i try to use one. haha. they smell way too strong! green package is the way to go

One time when my store was out of the green package I grabbed the white (Menthol) package and at first DS fuh-reaked when I tried to wipe his nose with them. "Noooo! That's to smmeellllyyyy! That hurts my nose" <--- but he's a giant drama king to begin with. It took some coaxing but he's okay with them now.

I haven't seen those but I bet they would be good for adults. I'm not ashamed to admit I use them too. I'll try the menthol ones next time I"m sick.

They sell a three pack of these things at Buy Buy Baby. I usually buy that.

I hate the grape flavor though. It's so strong and it reminds me of my c-sections (they give you this grape scented acid reducer to drink before surgery. It smells exactly like the grape wipes but it doesn't taste like grape at all. It tastes like sh!t, but I digress.)

We use the green ones and they're more gentle on really snotty, tender noses than diaper wipes and tissues.

I'm in the minority here because I love the grape ones! Ha ha ha! I actually bought a big tub of them off Z U L I L L Y awhile back because of this.

Ditto PPs that they do work really well. I do have to tell you that I used them one time when I was sick and they burned like mad!!! I haven't used them on DD for this reason so far this winter just because I imagine that if it hurt me that bad, it HAS to hurt her, too! Nonetheless, they do work.

When the girls get a runny nose, I just keep a little aquaphor under there to avoid irritation and use a regular wipe as needed. I have super soft bamboo washclothes and will just wet one of those to clean them up if they still have irritation.

Abby HATED having her nose wiped until recently and I thought the grape thing would help but I think she hated it even worse. Emily would wipe her nose on sandpaper and not blink.

I love boogie wipes. DD gets the worst crusty boogers when she is teething (which seems like all the time lately) and they are awesome for removing them. I don't like using regular wipes on her nose - the boogie wipes are saline and are much more gentle on her nose, even gentler than regular tissues.

I got some when Daniel was a baby and he turned out to be allergic to them, so obviously we haven't dropped any more dough on those. Too bad, though. I love the smell. So much so that I might actually buy them for myself if I weren't allergic to them too.
