Granted, he is only 3 so this is his 4th Christmas and probably the first one he totally gets the whole thing, but I always make everything from Santa and plan to keep it that way. Growing up, my parents did the same thing. I don't remember if I ever questioned why mom and dad didn't get me anything but other people (grandma, aunts, etc.) did.

As you can tell from my question, we basically don't. Everything is just under the tree and "gifts". If something's from grandma, I try to tell them that, but I don't think they absorb it.
I think that as they get older and want to give gifts themselves and stop believing in Santa, that things will change.
I was just thinking about this the other night. If everything is from Santa how would you explain if you bought something for some type of Sub for Santa program? I keep waiting for DD to ask why we buy stuff for other kids when Santa should bring it.
