  • I'm not sure if I'd call mine "stabbing pains", but I'm having some pretty crazy cramps. I haven't been to the doctor yet, so you know more than I do. Fingers crossed for both of us.

  • My cramps are fairly light and come and go. That said, every now and then, I'll get a stabbing pain that makes me pause for a few seconds and wait it out. I've woken up with these types of pains twice. Thankfully, mine never last more than 30 seconds and aren't frequent at all.

I'm a teacher too. It's never fun to put on a happy face and pretend all is well in front of students. I hope you feel better and your cramps let up a bit soon.

Congrats on your pregnancy and welcome to the board.

  • Not sure but maybe these are ligament stretching pains similar to what another poster was writing about this morning?

I get shooting pains occassionally (haven't for a week or so), through my pelvic area, or seemingly right through my cervix.  My friend said she had something similar as well and blamed it on stretching ligaments - I looked it up online and it seems like that could be it.

Whatever it is - hope you feel better soon.

  • Not sure but sounds like Round Ligament Pains to me!  I've had them off and on.  RLP def feels like stabbing pains.  It's the ligaments that hold up your ute stretching to accomodate your growing ute.  Kinda cool actually -- it's the feeling of something changing down there.  Try to learn to love them.  Stick out tongue  They don't go away really and they only get higher in your abdomen as your pregnancy goes on.  Fun fun!
