Intense pressure/ pain in crotch

I've been having this the last couple of days.  I called my perinatologist and they want me to come in.  I'm worried.  Anyone have any experience with something like this?  My memory from my pregnancy with DS is that I didn't have anything like this until much later.

Re: Intense pressure/ pain in crotch

  • Def get in and get checked out but there's definitely a lot of growing and stretching going on in there.

  • They're seeing me in about an hour.  I'm just trying not to freak out.

  • I found that everything happened a lot earlier in the 2nd pregnancy, I hope it's nothing serious!!

  • i don't know about pressure, but i would sometimes get shooting pains in the vag area. it's lovingly referred to as "lightning crotch" on the national boards. :) and it sucks. usually just from things stretching/moving around in there. hope that's all it is for you!

  • I felt pressure wa-a-y earlier in this pregnancy too. Hope everything looks good with your LO.

  • Don't freak out!  I had it way earlier with #2, and even earlier with #3.

  • I would love to hear what your ob says - I have had on and off intense pain/pressure on my pubic bone...much worse than last time.  OB says it is probably because I am carrying lower and the baby is bigger (both common for 2nd pregnancies).  It is definiately "in front" of where the "urge to push" pressure is..

  • Thanks everyone.  Baby is ok.  I have an infection and my uterus is super, super low.  It feels like it did the last few weeks of my pregnancy with my DS when his head was engaged and I was dialated.  The perinatologist said the whole uterus is essentially where his head was at that point.  It should move up.  THey're going to keep monitoring me.

  • I'm glad everything seems to be ok.
