Any glass bottle users out there?

I really want to cut out plastics. Do you have suggestions for a good glass bottle?

  • I used born free and munchkin bottles. I liked the munchkin ones with the silicone sleeve. We used them for about a year and eventually most of them broke (not until DD was older, around 18 months or so). That was after a lot of dropping, though.

  • We used the Dr Browns glass bottles and liked them....of course that's been almost 4 years ago.

I use Dr. Browns now but the plastic ones. What about the inserts? I would imagine those are still plastic, even in the glass bottles. Is this correct?

  • I've used the Evenflo ones with Marcus.  They're cheap, wash well, and have yet to break despite being dropped several times.

Wow! These are cheap compared to the others. They also seem to get great reviews. I just ordered some on Amazon. Thanks! Big Smile

Yes. The inserts are the same. But even if you move to glass, you are still going to have non-glass parts like the ring and the nipple at the very least. It was important for me to move away from plastics in the containers which we would heat the formula or milk in but there's really no way to avoid it completely with any bottle.

Yup, those are a lot cheap than others.

  • There are stainless steel sippy cups now. Kleen Kanteen and Foogo by Thermos are the two that pop in my head. I had some of each.

  • I also used the Evenlo bottles. Cheap, straightforward and never broke a single one.
