DD has decided to change her name

Okay, not for real for real, but she has decided that she wants to be called Lissie (li like list and ssie like sea) instead of Alyssa. It's one of the nicknames that I already called her anyway, but she told me tonight "I want to be called Lissie all the time now, like everyday, okay Mom?" What could I say, I had to agree LOL

  • My brother did that as soon as he got to kindergarten and had to learn to write his longass name.

  • At least it's related and makes sense.  DD#2 keeps saying she wants to change her name to Rosie Daffodil.  Her name is Callista and we call her Calli.  Sometimes she says she's changing her name to Alli b/c that's what DS calls her and it's also another nn for DD#1's name so they both could be Allis.  DD#1 is Alannah and we call her Lana.
  • I sometimes call Annalise Lisee (like in Lee See), but she told me that her name is Anna Banana. I can thank DH for that one.

  • After being a black cat for Halloween, my niece wanted to be called Kitty. That was 10+ years ago. She is still Kitty, although not legally.
