Anyone else dragging their feet when it comes to packing their bag? I half-heartedly started packing mine tonight, will probably finish tomorrow. The end it near and I'm half freaked out and half stoked...

Re: Hospital bag procrastination

I don't plan on packing much, I'm going to wear the hospital gown they give me (no need to have to wash my own). I have nursing bras that I'm currently wearing (they fit better than my own now); and a pack of disposable nursing pads. Other than that I'm only taking my super comfy house shoes (which I currently wear daily) and toiletries, which I'm going to get travel size and stick them in a bag. Not much for me to pack. I have long hair so I plan to have that braided within the next couple weeks (I'm a scheduled c-section) so no need for comb or brush, I don't wear glasses or contacts, so I'm pretty easy.
I do however have LO's bag pretty much packed, not much in there either because my hospital gives you diapers and receiving blankets, hats and burp cloths so I'm only taking a couple outfits and a couple pacifiers for her. DH is the one freaking out about packing a bunch of stuff. But this is his first so I can understand. I just remember with my 6 year old bringing a bunch of stuff back home that never left the bag. So I'm not trippin this time around.
I'm still only 33 weeks, so I just made a detailed checklist of stuff DH and I want to bring. I'm planning on picking up a few travel-sized items from the drug store to help out -- ie extra deodorant, toothpaste, shampoo, soap, etc.
It won't be fully 100% packed until labor begins-- my Nook, phone, charger, etc. are items I use too frequently and won't have duplicates. The checklist means DH can help me pack in case I'm too distracted.

This too.... I am not ready to part with my yoga pants & comfy pillow! Hopefully a mad dash to the hospital won't be required... Ideally I'd like to labor at home as long as possible, and pack then. We shall see!
