Mine are already up. We went all out last Saturday. We have a fake tree so it makes it easy. We both love this time of year and figure why not make it last longer. Plus I love coming home to it!
My FIL jokes that we can't do it till after his birthday (Dec 7), but I put them up the first day my husband works after Thanksgiving - that way its a surprise when he gets home! So this year it's the Monday after Turkey and shopping!

We've started putting some decorations up, but usually we go buy our tree the day after Thanksgiving. I've been bugging MH to put lights up before it snows/drops below freezing, but that probably won't happen until the last minute.

Normally I decorate on my birthday which is in the first few days of December, but since we are hosting Thanksgiving and no one ever sees our holiday decor I decided to do it a couple weeks earlier! lol

I have always done it the day after Thanksgiving, but this year we are doing it sooner. Probably tomorrow. I got rid of all my Thanksgiving decor last year (they were getting worn out after so many years) and was supposed to buy new stuff for this year, but we've just been too busy.

I start the day after Thanksgiving with the decorations. The tree doesn't go up until a little later because we get a real one from a local tree farm. We'll probably go around Dec 11th to get it.
We'll probably put it up the second weekend in December. The first weekend is our wedding anniversary so we'll be out of town.
I'm very anti-anything Christmas before Thanksgiving. I like to give each holiday it's own time, so no rushing the season. I actually love Thanksgiving more than Christmas because it is the START of the holiday season (and I love t'giving dinner!)
We redid our kitchen last year at Christmastime and didn't have any Christmas decorations up. This year we both have Black Friday off and once I've recovered from shopping we're going to deck the halls!!
I don't know when exactly, but it always ends up being too early. When we take down our real tree, it leaves a trail of needles throught the house. I end up vaccuming (sp.) needles for months after.
However, I do wish I could leave the decorations up all year. It's the only time that I feel my house looks like a home

We get a real tree that we chop down ourselves at a local farm. I LOVE IT. We usually get it the first weekend in December.
As for the rest of our decorations, I put them up at our house the Sunday before Thanksgiving because DH and I help my parents with their decorations the weekend after Thanksgiving. My parents have a huge old Victorian house and it takes everyone to decorate it!
As for Christmas music, well um... my husband sets a rule for no xmas music before Halloween. And? I break that rule every year.
We'll start sometime next week. The tree happens the weekend of Thanksgiving.

I usually put mine up Saturday/Sunday after Thanksgiving, but I work that weekend this year. I have Saturday through Wednesday before Thanksgiving off, so I will probably cave and put decorations up early.

I love that so many of you ladies put up the tree the day after Thanksgiving (or that weekend)! That has been a family tradition of mine since I was a little girl and still do it now, married almost 11 years. I always thought that we were one of the early birds in doing so, but you all seem to be right on track with me! I love it!

We don't have a set day that we do our decorating, but I'm thinking this year it'll be a day or two after Thanksgiving. We're having a dinner this weekend though so I might get out a few fun "winter" decorations. My DH told me today he was in the Christmas spirit, so who knows, maybe decorating will be sooner than later.
We usually do the Saturday after Thanksgiving but we are in the process of remodeling our house and do it on weekends, so I'm going to start on Monday and then put the tree up next weekend.
Lol, well usually the day after thanksgiving BUT this year my tree is already up, we are so busy from now till Dec 11 its crazy, birthday parties, holiday parties, Disney world, its crazy. So I wanted to make sure my LO's had their tree up in time to enjoy (they are 2 and 3). Everything else will start Black Friday though, if we get to it.

Definitely not before Thanksgiving. It seems like with Holiday travel and everything else, it ends up being the Sunday after T-Giving or the following weekend.
My favorite part of Holiday decorating is that I always do my "Christmas Decor" shopping the week after Christmas, buy a few new things at super discounts and pack them up with my Holiday decor from the year before. That way, when I get everything out for the next year, I have a few new things that I forgot about from the post-Holiday sales.

The tree and mantle decorations go up the weekend after Thanksgiving. This will be our first year for outdoor decorations, and DH says he's going to do it while I'm decorating the tree. If he doesn't get called into work, it might actually happen!
It was a tradition growing up to go get our tree the weekend of my birthday(Dec 6). H and I have pretty much done the same, but we have a fake instead of a real tree.
I'm not really feeling very Christmasy yet this year. Hopefully I will soon. We just moved and I have no idea where we're going to put our tree!
First weekend of December. DH is against anything Christmas related until after Thanksgiving. He got fake mad at me for wearing my pajama bottoms with little Christmas trees on them. They're comfy and warm dang it!
