I went to the specialist and regular ob today and it is looking good in there. I am up to a marginal placenta previa and the two vessel cord doesn't seem to have much affect on the baby. They did a really extensive ultrasound to check my cervix, placenta, and his anatomy. His heart checked out great, kidneys and bladder seem to be fine. He is weighing in around 2lbs 14 oz. which is big for gestational age. Apparently, I make big babies. The placenta is still in the way but appears to be migrating away. I am scheduled for a c-section just in case the placenta doesn't move totally out of the way on 2/1. It appears I have a very slim (less than 1%) chance of downs or any other abnormal genetics based on my lab results. So we did not opt for the amnio. Considering the risks associated with the test and the very slim possibility of defect DH and I felt like we didn't need to do it. I am hopeful that the placenta will move and I won't have to have the c-section. He was hanging out in there with one foot tucked under him and the other up by his face and blinked a few times at us on the screen.
Thanks for all your support. I can't believe I am going to have my little guy here so soon.
