Mrsoc, you might be the only other one, I can't remember!

Do you ever think about making DH go get a vasectomy?  Maybe this is just a paranoid stage, but I joke around with DH all the time about going to get snipped, but I sort of think it's a good idea.  Double the protection.  I don't think we'll ever have him do it, but I'm so afraid of having a surprise down the road.  I'll get used to it right?

    My OB had told me the statistics on a vasectomy and tubal, and I remember I wanted to get both.  Something like the efficacy goes down as you get older.  I remember telling her "Yea, cause I want go get pregnant at 50.." and we had a laugh over it.  I have waited on the tubal just because of things like SIDs and because I haven't had time to take a day or two off for surgery.  I def think DHs should get it.. I mean seriouesly.. we've been through pregnancy and L&D.. having a vasectomy is nothing compared to that.

    I don't want any surprises either, and I don't want to have to use birth control like pills or condoms for the next 20 years.

    I hadn't even thought about that.  I'm going on the assumption that the tubal was successful.  If for something reason I got pregnant, then I guess Someone had a different plan for me :).
