Just saw your post on mastitis... how are you feeling today?? I know that as soon as I started the antibiotics, I felt like a new woman by the next morning. I hope the same can be said for you! I'm so sorry you're dealing with that!

Re: (((StefandTodd)))
Yes, it's amazing how quickly it knocks you down. I had a very similar experience, but the saving grace was that just as quickly as it hit me, it went away after a dose of antibiotics. The wonders of modern medicine...
If you do get thrush because of antibiotics, do you know what to do? I don't want to give unsolicited advice, but I'll just share what worked for me. The nurses at Kaiser told me to buy a basic tube of anti-fungal cream. They said NOT to get the stuff used for yeast infections, but the kind used for athlete's foot.
Pleasant, right? Anyway, after nursing you let the nipple air dry then put some on- they told me to try to remember to wipe it off before nursing so H wouldn't ingest it. I forgot a few times and freaked out a little (ok, a lot) but honestly... it soaked in so completely, there was nothing left to wipe off even when I did remember. It took care of the thrush in just a few days.
Good luck! Get well soon!
