Anyone had a bday party at Catch Air or been to one?

We are thinking of having H's 4th bday here.  DH & H were there this past Sat and he said it was a madhouse with all the people and bday parties. We had only been during the weekdays before that.  Would love to hear anyone's experience and like/dislikes?  Worth the money? Is it chaos?

  • No, but I just wanted to say that I love Catch Air :)

  • I just looked into this. This weekend a friend of mine said that she was there for a party and she said it seemed like there were 300 ppl there and every hour they were calling for a bday party! You can do private, but that would be from 6-8 at night which is too late for what I was wanting. Nth
  • We were there (the one in Johns Creek) for one bday party and we're going to another one in a few weeks.  Let me say, we LOVE Catch Air on a regular day but when we were there for the bday party last time, there were so many kids there between bday parties and walk-ins that it was hard to keep an eye on my kid and Benjamin couldn't find me for a little bit and flipped out, which ruined the party for him.  I'm hoping this one in a few weeks is a little less crazy but I doubt it.  That said, the kids seemed to love it.
  • We are thinking of having Ethan's party there this Feb too.  I know weekend is ideal but I'm thinking of having it one day after school.  I am going to ask our friends to see if they would still be able to come.  It is a lot cheaper that way and I like you would like to avoid a huge crowd.

  • we've been to three there, always on weekends.  there were tons of people, but i didn't think it was that bad.  By far, it's the best bouncy house place ever.
  • We usually go during the week and LOVE Catch Air (all the locations).  The weekends are absolutely insane though, unless the weather outside is beautiful.  We had Jack's 4th birthday party at the John's Creek location last March, and it was cold and rainy...the place was PACKED.  A birthday party in every room, every hour (I only had 15 minutes to set up before they brought the kids in, not nearly enough when I had spent so many hours preparing decorations!!).  Anyway, the kids love it, and it's a great place in general, but the weekend crowds are annoying for sure, and make me so grateful to be able to take the kids during the week!

  • We've been to 3 bday parties at the Cumming CatchAir location and we held Darren's 2nd bday at the John's Creek CatchAir and been to 1 other one there.  We love CatchAir.  It definitely can/does get crowded, but it always seems big enough to accomodate imo.  We are contemplating doing Darren's 3rd bday at the same Catch Air...but i feel that is too lame (although we love it).  My suggestions, go early, first thing when they open up.  Also go on Sunday if you can.  We scheduled Darren's for i think it was 10:30 am, first thing when they open Sunday morning...you get to go in 30 mins prior to set up for the party so we had the whole place to ourselves!  It was awesome!
  • Also, I ws going to say that the cumming location always seems to be less busy. It's a bit smaller, but still basically the same concept. In a way it's nice to have only one main room to "monitor" and not the two distinct sides like they do at John's Creek. The John's Creek recently added a large train table section that Darren ADORES!!!!!
  • We have been to a couple and had one there for my 3 year old.  The staff is great and I don't really mind the crowds.  I do believe you can also do a private party on Sunday mornings.  I don't think it costs that much more.  I love it when we get invited to parties there.  We go on a regular basis anyway but love it when it is FREE.  Just FYI, the gift bags they offer are expensive but they are AWESOME if you wanted to do them.
