The Story and some pics (long, of course :))

Well, ya'll know I'll have to AW all over the place when the pics come in from the professional photographer, but since people have asked, here are a few from the non-pros to tie you over. I didn't get many pics (and most came out blurry), but at least you can see what we were all wearing. :)

We got married in the front hall of the Columbus Club at Union Station. It ended up being a great location (not too huge, so the kiddos were contained; a little dim, lighting-wise, but pretty; and best of all: FREE, thanks to the very nice Union Station event planner lady). There was a staircase slightly behind us/above our heads, and the kids stood on the stairs looking down at us through the glass railing and calling to us to get our attention. I tried to stay focused and not look up, but I kinda wished I'd looked up once or twice because apparently the kids' antics were hilarious (S said at one point she glanced up and Peanut had her tongue pressed against the glass-- classic!).

I ended up wearing a dress I already had, and then got everyone else's clothes to coordinate. My dress was a dark royal blue, as was Peanut's, and S and Little Man were in navy blue suits (well, LM's didn't have a jacket) and white shirts.

Here are S and I at the altar (don't mind my hair-- I ran out of time to curl it, so I had to go with the air-dried look, ugh):

Little Man singing "Wheels on the Bus" ("the people on the bus say 'shhh shhh shhh...'"):

After the ceremony, the kids had an impromptu dance party while S and I sang their favorite children's songs:

Once we were done inside, we went outside for a few pics-- some at Union Station, some at Senate Park with the Capitol in the background. I was hoping to get a pic similar to the doorway one we got at our first wedding (towards the bottom here) with the kiddos standing between us, but they decided they'd rather chase pigeons. After the park we let our very patient photographer (Katie from Love Struck Images) go and took the rest of us (our pastor, his hubby, the kiddos, the babysitter) out to lunch. We ate at the same place we ate with our friends and family the morning after our wedding in 2008 (Lauriol Plaza). It was yummy and lots of fun.

Thanks, everyone, for sharing in our excitement! I didn't really expect it to feel any different to be "legally married," but it does and it's awesome! :)
