I've been putting it off for months, but now my DS is starting to look like a Muppet. Does anyone have a good recommendation for a salon that is great with squirmy kids and near Springfield?
We're in Loudoun County, so not much help to you, but we always go to Cartoon Cuts in the mall (Dulles Town Center). DS is so good about sitting and watching the cartoons on the little tv. Weekends get busy there, so we try to go first thing when the mall opens to avoid a wait.
We go to the Cartoon Cuts in Fair Oaks. We see Munaza, she has done all of DS's haircuts but one, including his first, and is quick and entertaining. She is always busy, so I usually call for an appointment to make sure we can see her, the one time we didn't it was a disaster!
And I am really not brave enough to cut it myself, wish I was!
We take DS to Bob the Barber in Springfield. He's on the 7th floor.
Bob is great with the kids, he talks to them like Donald Duck to get them to stay in their chair. If that doesn't work, he makes a "seat belt" for them.
We've never had any problems with him, and he has a big pile of toys in the corner too.
Re: Toddler hair cut
have you tried doing it yourself? Just an idea. We do it in the high chair

I am too cheap to pay someone to do it LOL

Great recs.! We've cute his hair a few times, but now it needs some help all over, so to the barber we go.
Thanks!
