1. I've had major nausea/heartburn/vomiting the last two days in the morning. It sucks! But it goes away after eating breakfast! Wth? (CD6)
2. It's probably from all the meds I'm taking right now... boo. I want to be off of all of them.
3. Congratulations to ThisWillBe and N2A!
4. It used to bother me when people said "the wife", but now I enjoy it.
5. Who is going to be the republican nominee?! Wow.
I'll be back later for 6-10.
Re: TTT
1. The tenant that rents my house died recently (she was elderly so it was expected) which leaves me without the income.
2. #1 means I can't spend a dime until I figure out how to pay the mortgage without rental income.
3. The tenants family wants to pro-rate this month since the tenant died. The nice, caring part of me wants to say yes. The part that needs to pay the bill and feed her own family wants to say no. I know I'll say yes.
4. Her death was bad timing (yes, I'm selfish) because it kept me from meeting Blue. :-(
5. Okay, onto cheerier thing. DD moved up to the next toddler room at daycare yesterday. Where is the time going!?!
6. I love watching DD and DW figure each other out. Good luck to DD - after almost 7 years I still haven't figured DW out.
7. TWB and N2A's second wedding gave me the jealousE.
8. I have to meet with my boss in two hours. I should probably come up with some sort of agenda.
9. DW has been home two weeks and has already redone much of the house.
10. Can I send her back overseas?
1. RB peed on the potty twice at school yesterday!! yay!
2. DW's response to the holiday card that i spent a long time selecting and designing (and was excited about) was "''eh, its okay." it really hurt my feelings.
3. I tried the old school iron + wax paper + leaves with my kids last night and it didnt really work. i'm not sure what happened.
4. Bio mom is going to try to take all three kids to see Phineus and Ferb live this weekend (supervised). During nap. i tried to explain to her that while its a fun idea for Sprout, bringing RB and Daisy is going to make things really tough.
5. Lets do the math...a 2 year old + no nap + huge crowds + way overstimulation + expectations to sit still for over an hour (hahaha!) + a baby + a highly anxious 5 year old = NIGHTMARE.
6. But there is only so much i can say - she is their mother afterall. So i will send them off w/ a smile and a "good luck". and hope that all 3 return.
7. I got a new fancy phone at work - i'll actually be attending a training on how to use it in a few minutes, lol.
8. i hope to have big news to announce soon (maybe a week or two?)
9. I've been having at least 1 nightmare a night about baby daisy's birthday party and something going wrong. man, i stress myself out too much over these parties!!
10. DW took Sprout to my gym last night and he mostly laid around...in the ball pit, on the slide, ect. so not like him. How many days until the cold symptoms show up? ugh.

IUI #3 gave us the best 2nd anniv. gift ever: 2 babies! (born 03/09/10)
Peanut and Little Man are getting so big! 2 years old already!
finally blogging again at This Will Be: An Adventure
1. I slept horribly all night. It was more like a series of naps with crazy dreams and breaks of being woken by a horrible headache. I am exhausted.
2. Yesterday I came flying around a corner at work and smacked into another woman. Today I have a nice shiner and it hurts.
3. We are having happy hour for all of the social workers after work. Should be fun!
4. I think I am going to take the kids to a Thanksgiving Parade this weekend. Hope it isn't too cold (last time we went, we were freezing!)
5. I need to get to work on our photo books and our cards. Oh, and work.
6. I walked into the conference room this morning to find our medical director crying. So unlike her - and therefore a bit disconcerting.
7. I have Pei Wei for lunch. It was for L, but she is sick so I brought it. Not what I would have ordered, but free and better than cafeteria food!
8. It is 11am. I can now start calling families with only a 50/50 shot of waking them up. Seriously, if i call before 10am, I am almost certain to wake them - and then they never remember our conversation. And these are people with kids!
9. L is trying to get me to go visit my BFF in FL in January. I think I will look into cheap flight options. I would really like to take the kids to Disney in January/February - but I don't think we have the funding to pull that off right now.
10. I was supposed to plan a playdate for Rainbow Families for November. Oops. Guess that isn't happening, huh?
Makes sense to me. We did our real wedding in 2008 and then our DC legal wedding in 2010 it felt like our wedding part two. My mother in law cried at both.
1. Had an 18mm folly, an 11 mm folly, and one that is somewhere between 11and 15mm (DW left ovary likes to hide and this folly was playing pekaboo behind the 18. This is our first cycle using clomid and we are doing back to back IUIs thursday and friday so we may have two follies ready to go at that point.
2. Super excited for this cycle to have moved faster than last one. The clomid worked well in moving things along. Took only two monitorings instead of 4.
3. I am having some bad complications to the excess skin from all my weightloss. It is compressing the nerves in my hips making EVERYTHING (inclusing you know where) from my waist down go from asleep, to pins and needles, to screaming hot pain. It is AWESOME (sarcasm)
4. Looking forward to turkey day and black friday shopping. Althouhg I now get to chase a TV for my momma because hers just blew up.
5. Cannot wait to learn the secrets of my grandma's succotash so I can make a healthier version when we host xmas.
6. Found out yesterday that the MIL was planning on getting us theater tix in NY to see Lion King. This was an issue because we are already seeing Lion King in December and with all this TTC stuff we have been planning our lives in two week cycles. It is really sweet but it is also going to cost a fortune to spend the day getting to, from, and in NYC.
7. I feel bad resenting our potential xmas gift but DW has been telling her how busy/money strapped we are because of TTC.
8. I need to write a grad school application essay today and I really am kinda stoned from the meds they gave me for (see number 3)
9. I really love my wife and how awesome she is.
10. We watched the episode of Curiosity on Discovery the other day about conception to birth and it made me hopeful using IUI to TTC. Doing it the traditional way only 12 sperm make it to the egg because 98% are lost in the cervix and vagina and a bunch more in the uterus. With IUI it has to be a bit more than 12. It was very informative.
1. My Dad sent all of us kids an email apologizing for not reaching out to us more. It was heartbreaking. I wonder if having my mom back in our lives is bothering him.
2. 3 more days until finalization!
3. J and I aren't spending Thanksgiving together and I am really disappointed. She has to be with her family (mom, dad, siblings) for every holiday and although I usually go wherever she goes (she's my wife and I like to spend holidays with her and the kids...), I decided that this year I am going to show my family some love and spend it with them (my dad at least). I told her that if I go to my Dad's, I am taking the girls since he doesn't get to see them but a few times a year, she didn't agree with that. Christmas is easy for us, her family celebrates on Christmas Eve and my family celebrates on Christmas day but the rest of the holidays are usually spent with her family, I don't like the one sidedness of it.
4. I think the girls and I are going to make cookies today, they will be so excited.
5. It's been 11 days since we gave our Cash for Keys counter offer to the bank, they still haven't responded. I would like to know if we are going to need to move. I wonder if they are trying to stress us so we will agree to a lower settlement.
6. My local natural baby store Granola Babies is having a 40% off sale on Neobulle wraps (I think they are sold out) and they have the Vatanai Tri-Color Brown and Blues (the whale colorway) on pre-order for $133 - 4.6m and $139 - 5.0m. I really want a wrap but how can I ask for one when we don't have a baby?
7. I am fiending for a baby. A forever baby would be amazing.
8. I'm making an effort to make some of the things I've pinned on Pinterest, I have a long way to go before I even make a dent.
9. Both of my parents are getting a box of memories for Christmas, I hope to make them cry a little.
10. Off to make breakfast for the girls!
Two Mommies Healing Hearts
1. I just had a resting metabolism test done, and it was totally normal. What's that you say? I'm out of excuses? [LALALALALALALA]
2. I haven't thought of a single Christmas gift, let alone actually made or bought any.
3. Jen's birthday is in a week and I haven't figured that out either.
4. I suggested a cool-sounding Continuing Legal Education class to my boss (we get along great), and he decided to join me for it. Then he showed it to a bunch of other people, and it has turned into an awkwardish afternoon with colleagues instead of a fun afternoon away from the office.
5. I'm convinced that I could shred 90% of the papers in my office and it would not matter. But I'm too lazy to identify and sort out the 10% I need to keep.
6. My shoulders are killing me from the pathetic push-ups I did yesterday.
7. I just realized that I was supposed to make dinner reservations for Saturday night. I told my friend several weeks ago that I would do it, and totally forgot. CRAP.
8. On hold with the restaurant...prepared to be laughed off the phone...
9. Aaaaaand, yeah. Waitlisted. Wow. Blew that one spectacularly.
10. I'm going to get some coffee now.
1. The one in my neck of the woods (SS)? If so, we should do an impromptu meet up!
2. I'm on the hunt for a new job.
3. The above makes me sad for a number of reasons. I love the mission of my organization, but find the board to be so toxic.
4. DW has been in Vegas on a business trip. She gets back tonight and I can't wait to see her!
5. DS's birthday party planning is coming along well. Esty is helping to make my vision come to life. Love it!
6. I need to finish a grant asap and I'm lacking all motivation to do so.
7. Just ate some delicious lentil soup for lunch. Yum.
8. I think DS is a baby vegetarian. He hates meat, but LOVES beans and veggies. Where did this kid come from? Blond haired, blue eyes, lanky, vegetarian----completely opposite of me!
9. Starbucks holiday drinks are buy one, get one free from 2-5pm this Thursday-Sunday!
10. How is it only Tuesday?
1. CT--I can't stand the pins and needles! Hope it's good. No, hope it's great!
2. I was supposed to spend one week off, then several weeks on half-time after our first placement. Actuality: 4 days sort of off with a lot of phone calls home. First week back: 56 hours worked, hosted press dinner for 26, National CBS crew for 2 whole days.... whew.
3. Trying to impress a new owner is hard when I am falling more and more behind.
4. AW alert--you can watch about our cafe on National CBS news. They edited out my interview (this sleep deprived mama says thank god) but you can spot me for half a second at the register.
5. One hour before CBS press dinner I decide to put on my dress. And realize I haven't shaved my legs since baby has been here! Whoops! Good thing I had on thick tights and high boots under my dress!!!!
6. He is such a beautiful baby. He knows our voices and is turning to see us.
7. L says Pumpkin is a lame nickname. I don't have a better one yet.
8. We're hosting Thanksgiving for the first time this year! I've never made a turkey and I'm a little nervous.
9. Actually we hosted 2 years ago, combined it with my birthday and everyone brought a "favorite thing." We ate stuffing & lasagne, chocolate & ice cream, a fun eclectic mix.
10. That year, instead of gifts, I asked everyone to bring a book (one of my favorite things) to send to a school in Thailand L worked at. I want to do something like that again, but without being an AW and making a big deal out of my birthday.
yes! We'll probably be on Ellsworth St. E-mail through FB and we can meet up!
1. Work has been crazy busy for a week now. Yesterday I was barely at my desk.
2. It's nice to be busy (job security), but I miss being here. Sigh.
3. My personal email and blog reader are scary at this point.
4. E's had two later than desired bedtimes in a row. Time to reign it in tonight!
5. Our hospital has established a "goals" program that will eventually play some role in determining our salary increases. I need to write mine before I meet with my boss on Friday. I am SO not into this. They've had so many lame programs like this in the past and it just seems like a waste of time. Just let me do my job already.
6. I turn 36 on Black Friday. I can't believe how fast the past year has gone.
7. I called a mortgage guy last week to get my credit run and get the ball rolling. He said he'd call right back and I haven't heard from him. I've been too busy to call him but now I'm afraid there's some reason he's not calling.
8. My sleep has been wonky for over a week now. That can change anytime now, please and thank you.
9. E's dad and I are going to take her to see the nutcracker ballet in a few weeks. We are trying to do some big things together with her. I can't wait to see her reaction, 5 is such an awesome age.
10. CT...you're such a tease.
I can't wait to hear your news.
1. Ugh, looking for a job just makes me mad.
2. We had family pictures taken yesterday for my mom's Christmas gift. It was just my brother, his wife, their daughter, J and I and my little sister.
3. The photographer was clearly uncomfortable with us.
4. I wanted pictures of each family and then group shots, she took about 40 pictures of my brother, SIL and Niece and about 30 of my little sister, and about 10 of J and I and that was because the crazy wind kept blowing our hair everywhere.
5. She had my brother and SIL take cute pictures where he was kissing her cheek etc, etc and J and I had pictures taken where we just sat next to each other like I was 8 again and getting pictures with my brother at WalMart.
6. I can assure you, next time I will pick the photographer. This was my project but SIL took over because she didn't want to pay that much money.
7. Anyway, enough of the pity party. I made a payment on J's student loan today and it felt amazzzzzzzzzing!
8. I'm also almost completely done with my Christmas shopping! On Black Friday I will knock the rest out
I'm waiting on the amazing sales.
9. We need a second car so bad right now...it's not even funny. Soon, as soon as all debt is paid off.
10. J's insurance kicked in and we have our consultation appointment tomorrow afternoon
:D:D Oh, and we have our sperm donors narrowed down to 4 men lol
1. I can't wait until we get our family photos back, and I can share the photos with you all.
2. My Ruby Payne essay is NOT writing it's self. I don't want to review the book, I don't like the book, I want it to be over with. UGH! 13 pages on a 100 page book, is like pulling my teeth. . . or is it words.
3. My work is all decorated for Christmas, and I LOVE it, it's adorable this year.
4. I just registered for classes. . . will I ever be done with school?
5. Julie and her BFF are starting a MAJOR renovation at our house this weekend. It should be finished by Sunday, but the amount of work it's going to require is blowing my mind.
6. All three of my dogs were throwing up this morning, WTH?
7. Just Breathe by Scentscy has been amazing for our colds this week. Put it the warmer at bedtime, and I can breath so much better.
8. I really wish people would show up for their shifts at work, yes this is a coffee house and may not be a 'real' job to you, but I'm tired of covering your damn shifts! Get with it people. Since I'm an asst mgr/ shift sup we have to pick up the shifts when people don't show.
9. I LOVE my job crazy huh. . . . i'd work here forever if they paid me enough.
10. I'm freezing and gotta get back to my paper, but I'm buying an iPad in February! So excited!!!!!!
1. I didn't think I'd get to do this today, but here I am!
2. I received an award in Community Development today, and K came to the awards part of the conference. Being recognized makes me happy.
3. It's an insane amount of work, though. Insaaaaaaaaaane. Good thing I love it.
4. I'm teaching an awesome group now. They are super involved and really into it. Good stuff.
5. I'm getting really angry with the photographer who took pictures at J's birthday party. Really, really angry. If she doesn't get back to me by the end of the week, I may have to take drastic measures I really don't want to resort to.
6. Dinner tonight: steak, couscous, broccoli, and a fried egg. Heaven (for me).
7. I came home today to a playdate arranged by J's nanny. This other little guy, 8 months older than J, and his nanny were here. I LOVE J's nanny. Love. Her. I also loved the fact that, after his nanny introduced me to the little guy as "J's mama," he kept calling me mama. It was hilarious and supah cute at the same time.
8. K and J are home.
I guess I get 8 today!
1. So it's wednesday...
2. We went in for Noah's one month pediatrician appointment yesterday and my teeny baby boy has gained 3 pounds since leaving the hospital!! He went from 5 pounds 11 oz to 8 pounds 10 oz.
3. All I have to say is 'way to go boobs'!
4. Noah is smiling up a storm now. Ohmygod. When he makes eye contact and intentionally smilies his gigantic toothless smile.. there is nothing in the world that can compare.
5. I can't believe it is nearly Thanksgiving..
6. We are already picking out names for the next babe. I would be pregnant today if I could. Well, maybe not today, but only because I wouldn't want to cheat Noah out of his time but we can't wait to have another one.
7. We have 10 more vials of our donor and he is sold out and retired. I hope we can squeeze 2 more kids out of those 10 vials. It only took us... (I am going into my account to count..) oh my.. 43 vials to get Noah, I am sure 10 vials will work.
8. eek!
9. Have I mentioned how I am totally in love with my little boy??
10. Absolutely, positively a puddle of baby boy mush.
