How well does your LO eat veggies?

Thomas has always been a great eater; eats everything; however, lately he's been spitting out meats and veggies if they are not cut into itsy bitsy pieces.  I literally have to hide them under a spoon full of rice or pasta in order for him to eat them.

  • DD usually eats everything - three helpings of brussel sprouts the other night! But she can be hit or miss sometimes and I do the same thing - mix in with something else or sometimes even cooking it just a bit longer will help too.

  • M goes through phases like that. He loves everything and then refuses to eat peas or beans or anything small and round. And he's always been hit and miss with protein. He often dislikes it but then will wolf down half a bird.
  • The only veggie DD eats with consistency is broccoli, but she only likes the florets.  She bites them off and gives us back the stems.  She is hit or miss with all foods, really.
    DD1 is 3, DD2 is 1.
  • I call it a good meal if C eats a couple of beans.  Be grateful you have good eaters, because this sucks.

  • Mine eat anything that's not nailed down. E is the only real picky one, and she'll still eat some veg. Mostly because she thinks some are "cool" vegetables and her favorite TV stars eat them. I hide anything else, so the first place they scavenge is the fridge. Sorry, not much help here.
  • My daughter is a fairly good eater, but is a bit pickier about vegetables. She prefers some things uncooked, like sweet yellow, orange, and red peppers. Her absolute favorite is frozen peas still frozen. I just take them out of the freezer and plop them in a bowl. I am pretty sure she thinks they are a treat.

  • I hate to brag too but M is a great eater.  He will even try something he really does not like a couple of times.  I think that he sees us eat it and can not believe that it would be nasty if we are eating it.  Last night he bit into a brussel sprout a couple of times before he decided it was too bitter to eat (they were rather bitter.)

The only thing my little turkey turns his nose up to is fruit.
