I'm very slowly starting to wean myself off of my lovely pump. I dropped one session awhile ago and will drop another one eventually. I'm down to three pumping sessions per day now. I've heard that if you wean too fast, you run a higher risk of getting the baby blues. I don't really want to deal with that again (although I have been kind of moody lately, I suppose and I'm not sure if this is why) - especially around the holidays.
Is there any truth to this? If you had baby blues while weaning or post weaning, how were they in comparison to right after you had your baby(ies)?
Thanks!
Re: Did you get baby blues again when you stopped BF'ing?
I'm not sure if a slow vs fast wean makes any difference.
I weaned Caroline really slowly...and I felt awful. It was a pretty miserable experience...much worse than the baby blues after she was born. I wouldn't wish it on anyone.
