Quilted sheets for pack n play?

Has anyone used these? I saw them online last night and they look so much softer than the thin ones that I have from DD. I always felt bad putting her in there because it was pretty much like laying her on cardboard! Since this baby will be in our room longer than DD was, I want her to be as comfortable as possible.

Also, are they safe for newborns? I don't know how puffy they are.

  • We have one quilted one.  I definitely like it better.  It's not super padded but it does give a little bit more softness to the hard pnp pad.  I can't imagine it would be bad for a newborn.

  • We have a couple. It added a little extra padding and warmth to the PnP. We didn't use them until he was over 6 months, though, because we didn't travel until then.
  • we didn't use ours until the kids were older.  I got scared it was too puffy for a newborn but I am crazy like that

hehe This is me, nervous nelly!

  • We used them, but he slept in the FP RNP for the first 5 weeks and then we put him on his belly (only way he would sleep) and got the Angelcare monitor for peace of mind.  They are pretty puffy, but I do like them better than the flat sheets.

  • We have two. They're not that puffy. We've used them since DD was a newborn.

  • They sell them at BRU so you could take a look at their puffiness. I prob wouldnt use it for a belly sleeper right away...but if you are putting the baby on their back it should be fine.
  • We have one, I like it a to better than the regular sheet.  It gives more cushion and is warmer I think (but not too hot in the summer) because of the extra material in between.  I did only use the regular one when she was under about 8 months though...but I was pretty nervous about sids.
  • I think I'm going to order a couple then make a game day decision when the time comes.  Thanks for the input!
