Leapster, LeapPad.....help!

We're planning on getting Justin one of these.  I really need to start doing some research but thought I'd ask if any of your LO's have one.  I'm cofused by all the different kinds and names.  Any recommendations? Things you like or don't like about the one you have?  Or if there are any other kinds.  I feel a little clueless about these.  TIA!

    We got Charlie a Leap Pad for his birthday & he loves it! It seems like there aren't very many apps, etc. to download quite yet, but I think they'll be releasing more soon. He loves to play the free apps that came with it, plus he has the Mr. Pencil game & the Penguins of Madagascar game and likes them both.

    I am leaning towards the Mobigo. It is cheap and the games are cheap. My thought is it won't be long and he will be using an ipad or something like it AND begging for a Nintendo DSI or the equivalent! The technology is just getting to crazy to fast!

    Oh, one more thing that I like with the Leap pad is you can set up 3 different user profiles. Charlie actually wanted an account for Paul to use (so if Paul gets a hold of it he doesn't screw up C's stuff) And I just noticed today that DH went and labeled the last spot "Dad" and has been playing it himself, lol

    Well, I ended up with the Leapster Explorer. Scored a brand new one at Kohls for $22.40! It was an online exclusive that was returned unopened marked down to $32 (60% off). Used the 30% off and got an awesome deal! He may be a bit young, but I couldn't pass up the deal!
