I had a 5 day transfer on Saturday, and was really disappointed to find out that we had only one blast and one morula to transfer, both of which looked "not great" in terms of quality (though the blast was definitely better quality than the morula). Last cycle, we had 7 embryos on day 3, and had two good blasts to transfer on day 5 (no frosties). This time, we had had 8 embryos on day 3, so I was quite frankly expecting to have two blasts to transfer, and I had a tiny bit of hope that we might get a frostie or two (though not expecting that).
I know I still have a decent chance, and I also know I should be happy that we had at least one blast, but it was really hard not to have my expectations met. This is especially so because I switched to this clinic because of their stellar embryology lab and high live birth rates (62% live births per cycle for under 35), and I got much better embryos with my last cycle at a clinic that is supposedly not as good!
I also just heard from the lab that our last surviving embryo (a morula on Day 5) didn't make it to freeze, which was no surprise, but doesn't make me feel any better about our chances. Anyway, that's my vent. I am trying to hold onto hope, and I hope everyone else in the 2ww is doing ok!
