Costs of a homebirth in NJ.

Hey ladies, I was wondering if you have any idea of the costs of homebirth here in NJ. I have interviewed couple of midwives and they are asking for 8,500. This includes two midwives, an assistant, all prenatal visits, the birth, postpartum visits, blood work. It does not include u/s, birth pool. For some reason I think this is a bit pricey, but wanted to see your experience.

We really like them, we just want to be sure is not a rip off.

I think a friend of mine paid about $6500 this past year but that didn't include supplies or anything. I know homebirth is really expensive in NJ. Homebirth midwives can only take on a few births per month.
